CMAA staff had a blast at this year’s USAging conference in Austin!

In fact, our very own Ethan Belding (Vice President of Planning & Research) and Dr. Moses S. Dixon (President & CEO) presented about the Central Massachusetts Senior Dental Clinic. We are incredibly proud of this program and grateful for the community partnerships that have led to it being such a huge success!

Culturally Competent Meals at the Clinton Senior Center

Culturally competent meals contain food and recipes that hold significance for a particular culture or subcultural group. The Cultural Meal Program for seniors has been busy hosting workshops about nutrition and sharing cultural recipes with participants. Check out their latest stop at the Clinton Senior Center!

Minority Mental Health Awareness Month

July is recognized as Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. As shared by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health “…racial and ethnic minorities often suffer from poor mental health outcomes due to the cultural stigma and lack of access to mental health care services.” These concerns are especially prevalent in older populations.
